Munich was the last of the cities we toured. We drove around to see the city sights in the morning, and then it was straight on to Neuschwanstein Castle to see where Walt Disney got his inspiration for the Disney palaces. It is the most beautiful of the castles I have visited, and set in a very picturesque locale. There were plenty of stairs to climb but the experience was worthy. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures inside.

While in Munich I was able to meet up briefly with Julia, a young woman who was a foreign exchange student in our home 18 years earlier! She is now married with two young children and a third expected later this year. But she still looks the same and is as sweet as ever.
