We set out to look at beautiful cherry blossoms but found we had missed their prime. But it was a lovely drive and a nice outing none-the-less. Okinawa is a small island with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the East China Sea on the other, and one can travel from one to the other (the width of the island) in about 15 minutes.
